GP Appointments

blue_calendar_2011We do not operate “personal lists” and patients have the opportunity to see any of the doctors across either site.

These can be booked in one of two ways:

  • via the receptionist
  • or by accessing our online appointments system;

Patient Access

evergreen life

Should you require a same day appointment, you will be booked into the Farnham Integrated Care Centre (for more details on this service see tab number 3 on the right of your screen).

We do continually monitor our appointment system to ensure that we provide the best possible care for our patients.

Please note whilst we endeavour to provide the best possible service for our patients at all times, we are experiencing an unprecedented demand for appointments at this time.

Through our online system patients can book GP routine, asthma and smear appointments at any time of the day or night, depending on availability.

Please ask one of our receptionists when you are next in the surgery and they will provide you with a unique login and password which will allow you to access the online appointments system. Please bring a form of Identification with you.

Extended Access

Routine GP appointments are now available on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings at Farnham Integrated Care Centre. This service is run by Farnham Integrated Care Services which consists of five Farnham GP practices, so you may be seen by a GP from any of these practices. In addition there are some practice nurse and health care assistant appointments available on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.

The appointments are all booked through our reception team, however the appointment will take place at the Farnham Integrated Care Centre based in Farnham Centre for Health.

On Sunday mornings there is a bookable routine GP surgery at Frimley Hospital in Outpatients 1. This service is shared across the Clinical Commissioning Group area and hence will be staffed by GP's from across the locality.

Nurse Clinics

When making an appointment with the Practice Nurse, please give the receptionist a brief indication as to what the problem is so that you can be given the correct appointment type.

Text Reminders

We have now set up an appointment reminder system to allow text messages to be sent to your mobile phone reminding you of the day and time of your appointment.  This is to reduce the number of patients who miss appointments as a result of having forgotten about them.  It will also prompt patients to contact the surgery to cancel or rearrange an appointment if necessary.

We will also be using text messages and emails to remind you when you are due a health review with one of the practice nurses.  In order to be included in this system, we need your consent and your mobile number/email address.  Please email the surgery or complete the consent form which can be collected from reception.
