Online Consultation

If a patient wishes to speak to a GP or nurse, or has an admin query, they should complete an Online Consultation. This service is open from 8am to midday, Monday to Friday, and 6.30pm to 8pm Monday to Thursday. The service is closed on public holidays and weekends. 

Occasionally we may need to close the service if capacity has been met for the day or we have staff absences. If the service is closed and a patient has a non-urgent medical problem, they can contact our reception team on 01252 730100, or alternatively wait until the service re-opens the following day and submit their query then.

Once an online consultation has been submitted, the patient will receive an automatic response confirming it has been received by ourselves. It will then be triaged by a GP who will advise our eConsult team what action needs be taken. The eConsult team will respond to the patient by 6.30pm the following day, and let them how we will be dealing with their issue and if an appointment has been made, when this will be. If it is an admin query, this will be passed on to our admin/secretarial team who will respond within 14 days.

Online consultations can be used for medical problems, travel vaccinations, and general admin requests.
